Releasing yourself from yourself

This November I am knitting and knitting and knitting. Why? I gave myself a goal to make most of the Christmas gifts I am giving to family. You know say, “what is wrong with that goal, it is giving of self”. What is wrong with this? I gave myself this goal, on October 1st. Yes, that is correct: three months to make, 2 bags, 1 hat, 5 sweaters, and lots and lots of slippers!

In years past, this month and next would have me stressed, overwhelmed, and heading toward depression.

I would find myself stressing about making the perfect food, the perfect party, wearing the perfect dress to the parties.
I would be overwhelmed with the schedule of parties, the community activities, the family obligations.
I would feel depression coming on, how am I going to get it all accomplished, why can I not enjoy the moment.

But, I have RELEASED MYSELF FROM MYSELF!

I now look at each event: make a plan, ask for assistance, and enjoy each moment.
I now take time for me: I attend events that bring me joy, and give myself time to rest and play.
I now take time to express myself: sharing with others my joys of the time together and taking time to listen to others.

It is time to begin RELEASING YOURSELF FROM YOURSELF:

Acknowledge and accept your true self with love. Give yourself time to enjoy the moment, enjoy the planning, enjoy the assistance from others.
Acknowledge and forgive your true self with peace. Release the pressure, the demands that you put on yourself. Give yourself time to rest and to play.
Acknowledge and express your true self with joy. Share with others your joy of the time together and listen with your heart to their heart.

It is time to release yourself from the stress, the obligations and the feelings of failure that we place on ourselves everyday.

It is time to be you in love, peace and joy!
