I made my holistic maintenance list and have been slowly checking off the completed tasks. Went to the gym: CHECK! Cleaned off my desk: CHECK! Played with the dogs: CHECK!
When we are working on Holistic Maintenance it is more than just completing the task. It is believing and becoming the task.
Knowing in ourselves the true love of feeling well with using our physical selves. Feeling the chemical release in our bodies that release the tension, the stress, the emotions we try to control. Giving ourselves permission to feel strong- happy!
Knowing in ourselves the true peace of feeling well with using our mental selves. Feeling the openness as we release the clutter not only around us but in us. Letting go of the objects, thoughts, words, feelings that no longer serve us. Giving ourselves permission to feel, open-happy.
Knowing in ourselves the true joy of feeling well with using our spiritual selves. Feeling the calm as we see the true self and accept it with kindness. Letting ourselves respect the connection to all that is around us. Giving ourselves permission to feel, whole-happy.
Maintenance of self goes beyond the doing and completing the check list. Holistic maintenance is becoming the doing!
